PRODUCT ENHANCEMENT: THE AFFINITY UNIFIED API – CUSTOMISE YOUR EXPERIENCE 

The Affinity Unified API is now available to all Affinity client firms. This brings further depth to Affinity’s already industry-leading configurability to extend Affinity to meet your unique needs. 

Deploy the Affinity Unified API in your environment and work with your development team and approved third-party vendors to safely build custom apps and extensions that boost your firm’s performance and productivity. 

Built from the ground up with a modern tech stack, the Affinity Unified API adheres to best practices in API design, documentation, and security, enabling your teams to build agile, reliable and secure integrations.

Version 1.0 of the Affinity Unified API enables queries, reading, creating, and editing records in core areas of Affinity—namely, Phonebook, Clients, Matters, and Documents. Each iteration of the API will be richer in functionality and extend to more areas of Affinity, driven by your feedback and feature requests. We’re building this together with you.

PRODUCT ENHANCEMENT: EXPERIENCE SMARTER DUE DILIGENCE SEARCHES AND IDENTITY SOLUTIONS

We are collaborating closely with our Unity™ Search colleagues to deliver an industry-leading due diligence search experience within Affinity. Our first enhancement is already available with our latest Hotfixes.

Unity Search provides instant access to over 7,660 products from more than 3,270 regulatory sources via an easy-to-use web interface. Our integration with Unity™ Search helps you with time saving automations and tools including: 

  • Placing search orders within Affinity and auto-posting searches to Matters. 
  • Automated data mapping and syncing to avoid re-keying data. 
  • Auto-posting charges and simplified invoice reconciliation. 

The integration also gives you instant access to the latest innovations on Unity™ Search, including LiveSign VOI for identity checks and eCAF, and Insight360 for visual insights into corporate structures.

For existing users, enjoy new enhancements like one-click launch from Affinity Desktop, faster syncing, and optimized system performance

We have renewed our focus on training and education to help you unlock Affinity’s rich depth of functionality and configurability to meet your firm’s evolving needs.

All your existing users have already been transferred to our new Learning Management System and will have received an email to access their new learning account. The new Affinity eLearning platform includes: 

  • A modern interface for course layouts and content. 
  • Self-service e-Learning account registration for new users. 
  • Easy continuation of courses. 
  • Seamless playback with Vimeo-hosted videos. 
  • Self-managed password resets. 

Looking ahead, we are introducing: 

  • Updated learning content with an improved user experience. 
  • Interactive videos for knowledge checks.

CLIENT SUCCESS: A NEW SUPPORT EXPERIENCE, COMING SOON! 

Our support team has embarked on a broad initiative to enhance support and provide you with: 

  • Improved response times

We will soon upgrade our Support Portal and Knowledge Base, moving to a modern and powerful service platform.

Transitioning from LexisCare to the Dye & Durham Support Centre is not just a cosmetic change. It modernises your user experience, allowing for self-service and future enhancements. By leveraging the Zendesk-based support platform, our teams can gain quicker insights into tickets and client interactions, improving support delivery and coordination. This also helps us proactively take insights back to the product team to enhance Affinity. We are also optimising our support processes, starting with a focus on L1, to reduce aged cases and increase escalation speed

Our support teams across L1, L2, and L3 remain committed to resolving your issues promptly and helping you get the most out of Affinity.

CLIENT SUCCESS: FIND THE LATEST AFFINITY UPDATES EASIER

We regularly release Hotfixes to improve performance, integrate partner updates, and address software issues. Keeping Affinity up to date ensures you get the most from your investment.

Ongoing updates on the latest Hotfixes for your version of affinity are now made in the Important Notifications section of the Affinity Support Portal.

If you’re on an unsupported version, we encourage you to upgrade. Reach out to your Account Manager for more details about upgrading and optimising your practice.
